Don’t love it? You’ve got a whole year to bring it back. We’ll gladly accept returns or exchanges as long as your item is in saleable condition and within one year of purchase — that’s 365 days to make sure you’re completely satisfied. Some restrictions apply and are posted in certain departments.†
We’re here to help make your return as easy as possible:
You have proof of purchase: With either your original receipt, the credit card you used to purchase, your return label or packing slip, you’ll get a complete refund in the original form of payment.
It was a gift: If you have a gift receipt, a return label or a bridal registry number, you’ll get a complete refund in the form of a store credit.
You don’t have any proof of purchase: No problem! You may still be eligible for store credit for the item’s lowest selling price within the last 180 days.*

Preference furniture returns must be returned in “as new” condition.
If you notice any damage within 3 days of your delivery, please notify Macy’s Customer Service. At that time, we will schedule a service appointment to correct the issue.

At Macy’s, we want you to be happy with your new bedding purchase. Please allow your body to adjust to your new sleep set.
Traditional Mattresses: Try your new mattress for 60 days, and if not completely satisfied you have 14 days to contact Macy’s Customer Service to schedule a one-time reselection or return.
Tempur-Pedic Mattress Return Policy: Try your new Tempur-Pedic mattress for 90 days, and if not completely satisfied you have 14 days to contact Macy’s Customer Service to schedule a one-time reselection or return.
iComfort Mattress Return Policy: Try your new iComfort mattress for 120 days, and if not completely satisfied you have 14 days to contact Macy’s Customer Service to schedule a one-time reselection or return.
For ALL Mattresses: The bedding must be undamaged, unsoiled, and free of stains. Our worrynomore® Protection plan fees will be refunded so long as the complimentary mattress pad is also returned. Please note that your delivery fee will not be refunded. An $85.00 pick up fee will be charged and a 15% preference fee will apply.

Certain restrictions apply to select items and are printed on your receipt.
Please note that items that have been sized or altered are not eligible for return. In addition, your Luxury Watch, your Technology Watch or your Loose Diamond purchase must be returned within 30 days to the original store of purchase with tags attached, the certificate, and proof of purchase.
Please examine your items carefully and contact us within 7 days of purchase or delivery if they do not meet your expectations. We will accept rugs for return only with a valid receipt and only in unused and undamaged condition. If you’d like to return your purchase without selecting a new or replacement rug, any delivery fee paid will not be refunded. Returns or exchanges can only be accepted at The Fine Rug Gallery, at select Macy’s stores.
Final Sale Rugs
All Green Tag clearance rugs are sold in an “as-is” condition and are not subject to further service, cancellation or return. This policy is stated on our salescheck and acknowledged at time of purchase.
Area rugs purchased on macys.com may not be returned to stores. To return a rug purchased online, contact Customer Service at 1.888-822-MACY. You will then be contacted to arrange a pick-up. Your rug must include original packing materials.

At Macy’s, we want you to be happy with your eyewear purchase. While eyeglasses and contacts are custom made for you, Macy’s Optical will provide a department credit for returns made with an original receipt. Your receipt is required at time of return; cash or charge refunds cannot be issued.
Macy’s Optical is not responsible for merchandise left over 30 days.
At Macy’s, we want you to be happy with your Fur Vault purchase. We will accept for return or exchange Furs with proof of purchase and the price tags attached for up to 30 days after your purchase.
Returns or exchanges can only be accepted at The Fur Vault at select Macy’s stores.
At Macy’s, we want you to be happy with your purchases. Returns of Louis Vuitton merchandise may be made with original proof of purchase within 14 days of purchase only at a Macy’s store carrying Louis Vuitton.
At Macy’s, we want you to be happy with your purchases. We will accept for return or exchange Stride Rite shoes with original proof of purchase for up to 30 days after your purchase.
Returns or exchanges can only be accepted at a Macy’s store carrying Stride Rite shoes.
For all returns of purchases made by check within 3 days of the original transaction, a mailed check may be issued.
For all returns of purchases made by check within 7 days of the original transaction, a mailed check may be issued.
Merchandise that is returned will forfeit Worry No More Voucher.
At Macy’s, we want you to be happy with your Finish Line at Macy’s purchase. We will accept for return or exchange your Finish Line at Macy’s item within 45 days of purchase as long as your item is unworn and in saleable condition.
The value of any returned item purchased at Macy’s with a Finish Line Gift Card will be reissued on a Macy’s EZ Exchange Card.
You can return your purchase to a Macy’s Backstage store within 30 days of the purchase. Just be sure to bring your receipt with the item(s) you would like to return for a full refund in the original form of payment. Returned merchandise must be:
- attached to original tags
- accompanied by the original receipt
We can also look up your receipt using your account number.
If you do not have a receipt we will issue store credit for the lowest selling price within the last 180 days. Your name and address will be required to complete a return for security purposes.
Jewelry and Watches
Jewelry and watch returns must be returned in original packaging with tags attached, to the same store location it was purchased from.
“Final Sale” items cannot be returned. Merchandise is sold as-is and without warranties. Macy’s Backstage is not responsible for defects or repairs. Some merchandise may be irregular or imperfect. Macy’s Backstage is not responsible for quality and repair cost.
Special return polices policies apply and are posted for select merchandise categories.
Please note: Macy’s Backstage items may only be returned to Macy’s Backstage Stores, and not Macy’s Department Stores or Macy.com. Macy’s Backstage also will not accept returns from Macy’s Department Stores or Macys.com.
Return By Mail
Macy’s Backstage purchases can only be returned to a Macy’s Backstage store.
Macy’s Price Match Policy
If you see a lower price on an identical item at any other local store within 10 days, we will match that price (unless it is a Club Store where you pay dues to shop or on-line retailer). While this price match policy applies to almost all products we sell, we will not match prices on fees, closeouts, special order merchandise or on-line retailers. We will match macys.com prices.
Macy’s Price Adjustment Policy
If our stores further reduce an item within 10 days of your purchase, we will refund the price difference when you present your original receipt.
Prices may differ between stores and macys.com.
Warranties covering merchandise sold here are available in our Store Manager’s Office.
Macy’s Gift Cards
Terms and conditions apply to gift cards. If your gift card is lost, with proof of purchase we will issue a new card with the current balance on our records.
Presale Transaction Paid For by Macy’s Gift Card or Easy Exchange Card
If the merchandise is not picked up by the date specified, store credit equal to the amount tendered on the card(s) will be mailed to the address you provided.
California Recycling Fee
In California, certain electronic products are subject to an electronic waste recycling fee. This fee is required by the state of California.
